Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP)
Northwest Territories — PNP guide
Stream overview and official links. Criteria and intake status change—verify on the government site before you apply.
The NTNP is built around employer-supported immigration and business immigration. Employers typically register and submit nominee applications through the territory’s online portal. A Francophone stream is also listed on the official NWT immigration site for eligible French-speaking applicants.
Streams and categories (summary)
Names and groupings follow public provincial materials. Sub-rules (NOC TEER, wages, language, job-offer format, EOI scoring) are in the official program guides—not reproduced here.
Employer-Driven Stream (categories)
- Skilled Worker — skilled NOC TEER categories with an eligible NWT job offer and employer nomination (confirm TEER rules on immigratenwt.ca).
- NWT Express Entry — Express Entry–aligned employer-supported category when criteria are met.
- Entry Level / Semi-Skilled — for eligible occupations when the territory’s criteria for this category are met.
Other NTNP routes
- Business Stream — for purchasing, starting, or investing in a business in the NWT.
- Francophone Stream — French-language stream described on the official NWT immigration website (verify eligibility and process).
The NWT works within a fixed federal nomination allocation. The territory may pause intake or stop accepting new applications when caps are reached or during policy changes. Always read the banner and news on immigratenwt.ca for the current year’s intake status—do not rely on informal forums.
